Event Management Database (HTML, PHP, and mySQL)
This was a group project where we split the work amongst 4 members. The project’s purpose was to get a front-end GUI and backend database working together, and not really on GUI design or database security. I worked mainly on the login system, admin page, and database creation/hosting. The project was run using a localhost server which is why I made a video to show off the project instead of a link to the website. We were all new to HTML, PHP, and mySQL so this project was equal parts of learning the languages, finding/using the correct software, and setting the project up.
- Skills Learned
- Became remarkably familiar with HTML, PHP, and mySQL.
- Learned how to design and implement database systems.
- Gained more experience working in a group.
- Overcame 2 group members leaving the project mid-project.
- Learned how to use multiple software like mySQL Workbench, Amazon AWS, and XAMPP local host.
